A syndicate is a group of people who come together to support a common interest. In our case we are creating a syndicate to support Mauro Donaldson (Mario) in this BE career. Being part of an event horse syndicate is an incredibly rewarding way to be involved with this exciting sport.
About Mario
Mario is an 8 years old bay gelding, 16hh. We brought Mario as a 4 year old and straight away we knew he had great potential. We backed him the summer he was 4 and took it slowly to allow him to mature and grow. As a 5yo Mario started eventing with many placings showing the potential of a future 5* and potential GB team horse. As a 6 year old we started to push him a little more and he quickly moved up to novice. At the end of the season he competed in the 6yo young horse class at Bicton coming 4th finishing on his dressage score.
Last year he came along quickly finishing 15th / 105 on his dressage score at Houghton at his first CCI2*S. He then competed a few Intermediate level events with huge success and was aiming for the 7yo world championships at Le Lion and the end of the year, only due to me having a fall on another horse I was unable to get our qualification. Sadly missing out on a huge opportunity.
